Our Story
Absolute Gap CC was founded by my mother, Daria Mckenzie in 2005 on her return from a 5-year expat stay in Dubai with my dad who was on contract there. Before she left South Africa, she sold her first corporate gift and promotions company, but her love for the work she did never faded and on her return to South Africa, Absolute Gap was born.
I had been working at South African Airways as a cabin crew member since 1997, and after the birth of my son, took a position in the product development department at SAA, and this is where my love for marketing and innovation began. When my mom returned and started her new business, I jumped at the opportunity to join her. I was still wet behind the ears and had so much to learn, but it was easy as she was a great teacher and passionate about the relationships she had with her clientele.
I watched closely, listened and learned all the tricks of the trade. In 2013 my apprenticeship came to an end, and he reigns were handed over to me to continue our legacy.
What we do
We source and supply corporate clothing, gifts, safety equipment and create bespoke items for our clients. Our professional relationships with large companies and small enterprises are of great value to us and we are dedicated to each of them.
We believe in supplying goods and services at competitive prices without compromising quality. We collaborate closely with various companies who are experts in their fields to provide the great service and products our clients have become accustomed to.
Our import license gives us the flexibility to source products internationally, if the local market is unable to supply according to your needs.
Absolute Gap is regarded as a preferred supplier to the following organisations: Nedbank Limited, MoneyGram International, Stanley Black & Decker, Steinhoff International, Twizza, PMI South Africa, Teraoka and Sapema to name a few.
We have a JV with Enrich Media, and supply to various corporate business’s in Zimbabwe and are currently extending our reach into Botswana.
We are an EME with a level 4 (100%) BBBEE contributor status and adhere to the Codes of Good Practice. However, we are always looking into new ways to uplift communities and individuals and therefore increase our overall score.
